Dun Toiseach, 'Fort of the Chief', stands on an isolated hill overlooking An Lodan, the lagoon at the south end of Loch Awe. The dun is 'D' shaped with walls 10 feet thick. The entrance is on the north side with possible internal structures and three outer terraces on the east and south side.
Situated on a prominent rocky knoll overlooking the South end of Loch Awe this Iron Age dun is now severely ruined with much of its stoned robbed and is best viewed from the air, as we did by drone. Fabulous view of Loch Awe from the top.
