Dun Grianan Broch is a ruinous broch located on the calm shoreline of Loch Mealt not far from the famous falls of the same name. Much of the original stone work has been robbed but enough remains to determine this was once a towering broch built in a wonderful defensive position on a narrow peninsula almost into the loch itself. Although the inner face of the wall stands some 4 feet in height, much of this has been rebuilt in recent times.
Access to the broch is from the road that runs alongside the Staffin Museum or a relatively short walk from the car park of Kilt Rock.
